It was great to have our BIG team Saturday back in full swing. After last Saturday I was a little worried! It was a beautiful morning for a workout, and the temperature at the Fort is finally back under the 90's. THANK GOD. The workout was:
In teams of 4 complete the following
2000 meter row
400 sit-ups
------------------------
2000 meter row
400 squats
-------------------------
2000 meter row
400 double unders
The rules:
1. Only 2 team members can be working at a time.
2. Each section must be complete before beginning the next row.
3. If you finish the 2000m row, and you still have reps of the exercise, two people may work simultaneously on that exercise.
4. Sit-ups can be anchored.
5. Avert your eyes if your partner is wearing loose shorts. (nuff said)
I think the lead changed hands 3 or 4 times during this workout, it was an amazing effort from all the teams. I had to yell at Garth that he was doing his sit-ups too slow. Everyone else got with the program, but he was taking his sweet time. Unfortunately we almost killed Giles, I hope you're ok buddy! Giles had to learn the hard way that his body requires food before a workout. Personally, I can't eat before a workout, or it starts to come back up, but some people can't function on a completely empty tummy.
The double unders were the great equalizer in this workout. After all that rowing and squatting your legs had taken on jello-like properties, and the double unders were difficult to maintain. Our winning team put out a great effort, and flew through the double unders to take the lead. Lisa, I was THOROUGHLY impressed with your double unders girlfriend! Congrats to our winning team!

Kudos to you Giles for pushing it to the limit! If you're flat on your back, then you're doing it right
Double unders are brutal! I'm glad Brittany was there to help us get to 400.
