"The Garth Show" does the unthinkable

The Garth Show does the unthinkable last Friday night at Snug Harbor. Contrary to what others may tell you, Brittany's birthday dinner is NOT sufficient justification for joining the masses in their Filthy Grain Eating habits!

    Rest assured that no grains were actually ingested. I know better and would never do that to myself! However, I'm always up for posing when the cameras come out ;)

    Bill, on the other hand, becomes extremely self destructive after a couple of car bombs! I need some help to stage an intervention. Bender, where are you when we need you?

    I knew it! You're telling me you ordered a burger or took someone else's and pretended to take a bite, color me skeptical but I'm not buying it.

    I ordered a bunless burger but they brought the bun anyways which offered an opportunity for a bit of fun but I definitely know better. No grains for me - yuck! I even had to rinse my mouth out with water after this pic was taken ;)

    Feel free to sit me down for an intervention, but Garth better be joining me. He claims to "know better", but he is in denial over the fact that beer is liquid bread ;)

    I wasn't going to go there with alcohol, it is funny though how that seems to be the one area of odd silence among most the paleo observers I've run into around the Fort. I believe I mentioned that to Garth once and he just smiled, (an admission of guilt I presume) followed with the defense that 'everyone does that, even Bill and Jennie drink.' It is funny how we want to make exceptions for that which we really enjoy, be it a beer or a bun.

    Paleo margs are my favorite - good tequila, soda water and fresh squeezed lime. You can keep 'icing' the drink - add a scoop of ice every 10 minutes or so, sipping slowly. I can make a single margarita last for an hour ;)

    I drink beer on very rare occasions, Saturday night being one of them!

    **Attention**
    Huckabays are going to have a bonfire next Saturday night - everybody welcome. We're going to get a big bouncy blowup castle from my parents for the kids and everybody is encouraged to bring a paleo treat. We figure on kicking off the festivities between 6 and 7. Hope to see you there!
