Do you guys remember back on 8/18 when we did Kalsu? The GYG was slightly confused, so they did it different than the way it was intended. LUCKY THEM, Kalsu came up again, and Bill was right there to make sure everyone knew how it was really supposed to go.
Basically, do 100 thrusters. (60/40kg)
Stop at the top of every minute and do 5 burpees
If you can't finish your 5 burpees within the minute, you're OUT (like the fat kid in dodge ball)
20:00 cut off (because we don't like to watch you suffer)
Before I even made it to the Fort last night, the chatter about the WOD was already flying. The GYG got a taste of Kalsu, and they didn't like it. "Holy Suckness" was the comment on the white board. I heard reports that Garth flopped onto the floor mid-burpee, and laid there for a full 10 seconds....the other GYG members thought he died. Did anyone stop working out to make sure he was ok? That's the real question.
Great job last night you guys! Nobody did the workout as rx'd.....but somewhere in a far, far away land there are CrossFitters that do this workout rx'd. Let's all keep striving to get to Far Far Away so we can join the REAL CrossFit Fire Breathers.

Pete,
I want to see if you can do this rx'd....this may be one of the toughest WODs yet....I will reserve the whole night to watch you suffer.

Reading that workout I could actually feel the blood draining out of my face. Yet somehow I can't wait to try it.. scaled.

I don't think anybody noticed when I face planted on round 15 and decided to lay there for a bit. We were all in our own personal hell at that point. I think Zach might have yelled at me to move my ass or something to that effect.
And yet another nice picture for Auds! She's very photogenic

You guys got any pictures of me where my hands aren't on my knees or my veins aren't exploding out of my head? Guess I'm not as photogenic as 'The Show' I'll start working on that one.

Oh and you forgot to mention that we started with heavy front squats before that crazy WOD, as was the case with the 'Hell-of-a-Hundred' from two weeks ago.

REALLY hate not being there this week, work has been killing me and I have parent/teacher meetings tonight for my boys. I should be there tomorrow and Saturday. Could probably make it by 6 today but that would be two ladies classes in a row I showed up for

Ok, so I knew about this workout on Tuesday. (Don't ask me how). And my first thought was 'Thank God I'm taking Wednesday as a rest day!" Then, I remembered I couldn't make Thursday's class. I HAD to go on Wednesday. Maybe I could just skip it? Nope. Can't do that....the guilt sets in. Guilt??? When did I start feeling guilty for not working out? I never felt guilt if I skipped the healthclub. What's happening to me?????

Hey hey hey. Hand check you two.
October 9, 2009, 10:35 am
got a question tho.. do you get a "free minute" a the start of the WO for thrusters or does the WO start with 5 burpees?
October 9, 2009, 10:36 am
Hand??? Hell, I was thinking of something else...thanks for bringing me down a knotch Britt!
October 9, 2009, 10:57 am
Hey Gladys! Good to know that you're slumming down in the gutter with me. I'm always glad for the company!
ps - No "free minute" Troy. We love burpees! I would recommend starting off with 10 burpees in the first minute for extra credit. Each round starts with burpees and ends with thrusters. Good luck - if you're planning on taking this one on today I'll pray for you.
