This workout is silly….

The workout yesterday started with 3-3-3-1-1-1 on front squats. We know how much you all like that gagging feeling of having that bar driven into your throat, so we thought we'd throw this atcha again.

Congrats to Tommy Mo and Clark for their PR's yesterday. GREAT JOB! I'm pretty sure Mark got a PR as well for his amazing 130kg front squat. BEAST.

After the strength work we did something that I have NEVER DONE BEFORE in a WOD. We worked on our Turkish get-ups.

Turkish get-ups! Find a youtube video if you're not sure what these are. They are quite possibly the best exercise to improve shoulder stability and core strength. We did as many Turkish get-ups as we could in 10:00 (24kg/16kg). A lot of you scratched your heads and looked at us strange, but quickly changed your mind after you did the work. That kettle bell gets heavy FAST. Plus, look how cool you guys looked doing them...

Look who stopped by for a visit! MARIAH! We miss you girl! Would you have that baby already?! :-) Mariah is due in 10 days, and we expect to see her back at the Fort in 11 days, right?

Finally, don't forget about the get together over at Brittany's place on Saturday. Oh, and be sure to check the nutrition blog for Bill's take on sugar. I have a feeling Brittany is going to have to get creative with her themed cake.

  • Mariah best of luck and I look forward to seeing you back at the fort soon. It was good seeing your brother in CA. He is doing awesome and look forward to training with him at the end of the month.

  • As most everyone already knows my family owns the Henny Penny Restaurant just west of the fort on 120 about 2 miles. So that being said anyone interested in refueling after what is always a rough WOD on Saturday is more then welcome to join us for breakfast. Paleo or not HAHA. Plan on leaving the fort around 10:20/30
